Around Christmas time the pupils give a little concert. Family members and friends of the piano players are very welcome as well! Studying with a clear purpose and playing for an audience is very motivating for the pupils.
The teacher makes the programme together with the pupil and we often add some Christmas songs to create a real Christmas atmosphere. Participating is no obligation, but practice learns that even pupils who were hesitating at the beginning, end up enjoying to play for the audience in the end.
At the end of the school year, we often give a summer concert, focusing mainly on playing together. We play piano 4 hands, 6 hands and even 8 hands! Everyone can play his or her favourite piece of music as well.
